This may just be the beginning

It's hard to stay upbeat nowadays. The news seems to get worse and worse. And NONE of it makes any sense.

Someone explain to me why Obama is standing with Chavez, Ortega and Castro in calling for the ousted Honduran President Mel Zelaya to be reinstated? This guy tried to ignore his country's Constitution and Supreme Court and just continue his administration, term limits be damned. The army came in and PEACEFULLY had him removed. It sounds like to me that this country was upholding their Constitution. I wonder why Obama, Chavez, Castro, and Ortega would all have a problem with this?

Obama seems to have a special relationship with dictators. Remember when the bad guys hated us? Why is he so chummy with them?

Obama has been making some very interesting moves. Placing all these czars all over the place that only answer to him. Using Acorn throughout the country, giving them money and letting them run the census. It's almost like he's putting the foundation in place for... something.

Oh yeah... here's a bill currently in the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties that I found interesting...

So let's say they're able to repeal the 22nd Amendment... We'd still be able to vote him out, right? I'm not so sure. We saw the way elections have been fixed in Iraq under Saddam, in Iran, and in Cuba. Hell, we just saw it happen here today IN MINNESOTA. Makes you understand Acorn's purpose a little more, doesn't it?

Just something to think about.

The problem is, thinking about it makes me want to put my head in the oven. So what d'ya say we laugh about it all instead? Here's one of my favorite Steven Crowder posts. Let's all keep our spirits up because this may just be the beginning, boys and girls!

This is how they work!!

I happened to stumble across this today on YouTube and it made my blood boil so badly I knew I had to post it. It's old, from two years ago, but it shows the arrogance of the Democrats and Jack Murtha in particular. You'll know the part that made me angry at about the :38 mark.

This came right after over 100 Republicans in the house walked out because of the Democrats flaunting the rules. This is an article written by U.S. Representative Ginny Brown-Waite from Florida called "WHY I WALKED OFF THE HOUSE FLOOR LAST NIGHT":

Washington D.C. — U.S. Representative Ginny Brown-Waite (FL-05) today released the following statement about unprecedented Democrat actions on the floor of the House last night. The Majority's power-grab shut out of legislative debate and decision making Members of both parties who believe we should not give taxpayer funded benefits to illegal immigrants. Rep. Brown-Waite joined virtually all the Republicans in boycotting the final vote on the Agriculture Appropriations bill in protest of Tammany Hall style vote fixing.

"This body is named the people's House for good reason. We were elected to represent the people, not partisan political leaders here in Washington, D.C. Any time the majority, at the whim of unnamed political leaders, ignores the will of the body and arbitrarily overturns a vote of the House, it deserves to have Members walk out of the chamber.

"The House vote last night was clear; no money will be spent on illegal immigrants. Rather than accept the will of the House, Democrat leadership broke more than 200 years of precedent and allowed Members to change votes after the measure had passed by 215 to 213, including at least 14 Democrats who voted to do the right thing, purely to defeat the clear will of a majority of this body. This action is worthy of Fidel Castro or Joseph Stalin, not the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

"Along with my Republican colleagues, I walked out of the chamber to protest the outrageous behavior of the Democrat majority. Their desire to give benefits to illegal immigrants at the expense of law-abiding Americans is so strong that the Pelosi Power Police corrupted the vote process. I guess if things don't go their way, the new Democrat majority just throws the Constitution out the window and makes the rules up as they go along."

The vote in question was a motion to recommit that would have prohibited funds in the agricultural appropriations bill going to illegal immigrants. At the time when the vote had been closed by the Speaker Pro Tempore, the Republican motion had the votes needed to pass. After the vote was closed, the Democrat majority allowed solely Democrat Members to change their votes and alter the outcome of the vote. These unprecedented controlled vote switches showed the Party in control's true colors.

This pattern of abusive behavior was also exhibited earlier this week when Democrat leaders passed legislation to cut nearly $200 billion in Medicare funds and that included language allowing illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer funded health care benefits.

"Democrats led the fight to cut $194 billion in Medicare funds for our nation's seniors this week, while at the same time giving children of illegal immigrants health care benefits. Talk about being out of touch with mainstream America. When the Democrat led Congress hands out benefits to illegal immigrants at the expense of our most vulnerable population, our senior citizens, that is a sad commentary indeed on the state of affairs in Washington, D.C."

Here is video of the incident if you'd like to see it. It's pretty long and most of it is a lot of yelling. From the research I did, the chant you hear at one point is from the Republicans to the Democrats: "SHAME".

This is how these people are. They don't care one whit about the rules, only in getting their agenda pushed through. This was TWO YEARS AGO!! Now they have the Executive Branch to go along with the Legislative. Of course they're going to ram as much down our throats as they possibly can! THIS HAS BEEN THEIR TRACK RECORD FOR A LONG, LONG TIME!!

IT HAS TO STOP!

So it passed. The Cap and Trade Fiasco of a Bill passed the House. Barely. My congressman actually did the right thing and voted no, one of only 44 Democrats to do so. So the next step is the Senate.

I am going to write both my Senators and I urge everyone reading this to do the same. Threaten that if they vote "yes" for this horrible piece of legislation that you will do everything in your power to see that they get replaced. This bill will devastate our already weakened economy. Haven't our politicians destroyed our nation's wealth for long enough??

IT IS TIME FOR THIS TO STOP.

The only reason Obama and the Democrats want this to pass is because it GIVES THEM MORE MONEY TO SPEND. Is America really this blind??

Both parties have sucked us dry for far too long. Why do we continue to allow this to happen? Stand up! Tell your Congressmen and Senators that this is NOT the America our Forefathers envisioned. Insist that they listen to the PEOPLE, not their PARTY.

It's time our elected officials did what was in OUR best interests, not what is in THEIR best interests. They spend our money with NO CONSEQUENSE in the name of helping the little guy when all they are doing is BUYING VOTES AND SOLIDIFYING THEIR POWER.

IT HAS TO STOP! STAND UP AMERICA!

Exposing Cap and Trade

Okay… Tomorrow the U.S. House of Inmates is going to vote on the “Energy Bill”, otherwise known as Cap and Trade. The idea of this bill is to place a limit on companies as to how much “greenhouse gas” they can emit. Companies are going to be required to have an “emissions permit” for every ton of Carbon Dioxide they spew into the air. The limit with go down year after year until the ultimate goal is achieved.
Since it will be easier for some companies to reduce their emissions than it will be for others, the lesser polluting companies will be able to sell their extra permits to the bigger polluters.

Now… let’s follow logic, shall we? We can all admit that this is a tax. The problem is that we’re being led to believe that this is a tax on polluting companies. Really? Does that follow logic?

The U.S. Government is going to create a new commodity in the form of these “emissions permits” and then it is going to mandate that companies buy these commodities. The costs for these permits are going to immediately transfer to the consumer. Your prices will go up, folks.

And who, realistically, will be hurt most by the raising of prices. Well logically, a family that makes less money has to spend a larger percentage of their hard earned dollars on heat and gas to get to work than a family that has a much larger income. This makes Cap and Trade a regressive tax by definition because it hurts the poor and lower middle class the most. I thought Democrats were against regressive taxes? Interesting, isn’t it?

President Obama pledged in his campaign the 95% of Americans would see NO TAX INCREASE. It sounds like the 5% he was claiming to be the only ones he’d be taxing are going to be the ones LEAST HURT BY THIS TAX INCREASE and the 95% he mentioned is going to get HOSED.

But everyone is going to be hurt the same, right?

Wrong. Think about this for a second. Some states rely more on manufacturing and fossil fuels like coal than other states do. What states use the most, you ask? The States that lie in the Midwest, Southern, and Plains. What states use the least? The two coasts.

It’s interesting that the biggest liberals pushing this thing are from California and the east coast.

This is a new revenue source for the Federal Government, plain and simple. This has nothing to do with “protecting the climate”, I guarantee you. Politicians saw an opportunity to get more of our money in the name of saving the planet and they are trying to pass it as quickly as possible before we can discover how truly destructive this legislation can be.

Cap and Trade. Obama’s gift to the little guy.

Night of the Living Government

I thought this video is a great analogy of what is going on today. Andrew Klavan is an expert on what Obama is trying to do. He used to write horror movie screenplays.

MUST READ

I just have to share this. It just says all the things that I'm feeling. And a DEMOCRAT WROTE IT. Recently Glenn Beck received a letter and read it on his radio program. I'm going to post the text of the letter here and if you would like to read the transcript of Glenn Beck reading the letter himself, go here.

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Dishonesty

It’s blatant dishonesty coming from the President of the United States. He’s going out there calling for a government-run insurance option as part of his plan to remake our country’s health care system. He says having a government option is necessary to keep private insurance companies “honest and keep prices down.”

Does he really think we’re all that stupid?

Obama is going to force companies to offer health insurance to their workforce. What company with a brain is going to pay for something that they can get for free? Private insurance will disappear and everyone will have only the government to care for them.

Is that really what we want? Do we want some faceless bureaucrat hundreds of miles away that knows absolutely nothing about us deciding what treatment is economically feasible? Do we want to wait in cramped doctors’ offices for hours at a time so that we can meet with pleasant government employees such as the kind that work at the friendly Department of Motor Vehicles and the loverly post office?

For the President to go out there and claim that he wants a government-run option to create competition is just dishonest. He knows full well that would be the demise of the private option and the almighty government would be all that would be left standing.

Oh yeah, and he spent all the money. How are we going to pay for this?

Michele Bachmann standing up and speaking out

It's good to see some Republicans out there talking like this... Too many of them are keeping silent right now, but Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) is speaking out against the government takeover of GM.

The lolly-pop and rainbow world of the liberal

I felt one of the comments I recently received deserved a detailed response, so here it is. This is in response to Octobia's comment to my post "Random Thoughts While Listening to President Obama's Speech in Egypt".

No, Octobia, nuclear weapons are not on our "wish-list", as you put it. The thing about us Conservatives is that we live in the real world. There are nuclear weapons in the real world. To think that nuclear weapons are going to just disappear is naive and childish. My point is now that the toothpaste is out of the tube, there is no way you are going to get it all back in there again.

For Obama to say things like he is seeking a world without nuclear weapons is just more flowery language that means nothing.

And by the way, Clinton thought it was a great idea to allow North Korea to have nuclear technology for power. Now North Korea is threatening nuclear war. It's that kind of naive thinking that puts the world more and more in danger. Liberals need to wake up and realize that there are actually bad guys out there. We can't "negotiate" with all of them, no matter how much you wish for it.

The Founding Fathers said one of the main duties of a Federal Government is to protect the people. You don't do that by getting rid of all our nuclear weapons and allowing only the bad guys to have them. It's the same arguement that liberals use with gun control and it doesn't hold any water and just points out how amazingly naive their outlook on the world really is.

Steven Crowder on PETA

I just have to get the word out about this guy. If you're like me and sick and tired of all of the loser liberal comedians ripping our side to shreds (David Letterman, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Rosie O'Donnell, Bill Maher, Al Franken... you know the ones...), get a load of Steven Crowder. He has a channel on YouTube that you can subscribe to, but I will be posting some of my favorite videos of his here to share with all of you. He uses common sense and wicked humor to shoot down liberal insanity at every opportunity. Let me know what you think of him. Even you lefties. Hehehehe.

MSNBC Anchor gets put in her place

I love this video.

The left-wingers at MSNBC can dish it out, but they sure can't take it. Look how her "feelings get hurt".

Rupert Murdoch on Obama's Big Government

Unemployment up to 10-11%. Could take 3 years for it to go back down. Maybe that helps the Republicans come 2012.

Random Thoughts while watching President Obama’s speech in Egypt

- It’s interesting that he’s admitting his Muslim heritage. He said he came from a family that included a long line of Muslims. In the campaign it was blasphemous to say his full name “Barak Hussein Obama” because it was a supposed attempt to call him a Muslim. So when he’s at home, he’s in no way a Muslim, but when he’s speaking to millions of Muslims he’s just one of them. Actually this is not surprising to me at all, but typical Obama behavior.

- He sure does like to mention the Founding Fathers, doesn’t he? Too bad he stands for everything they fought against.

- Wow he just admitted his middle name was Hussein. He got applause. You gotta admit, the man knows how to play his audience.

- I could have sworn he just said that any world order cannot be dominated by one country or one race. World order? He doesn’t hide his true colors at all, does he?

- He said “We reject the same thing all faiths object. The killing of innocent men, women, and children.” I can only assume he mistakenly said children. We know he doesn’t reject the killing of innocent babies.

- Obama just quoted the Quran… something like “Whoever kills an innocent is as if he has killed all mankind.” The irony of this coming out of the mouth of such a strong abortion supporter is sickening.

- Well now we’re at the point where Obama starts throwing money around like he has it. The man has no shame.

- Okay my head is about to explode. He just said that Iraq was a war of “choice” and that although he believes the Iraqi people are better off without Saddam Hussein he thinks the Iraq war taught us of the need to build diplomacy and international consensus. If I recall correctly, we tried the hell out of diplomacy. Saddam Hussein thwarted all inspection attempts and violated U.N. resolution after U.N. resolution. We had many countries go into Iraq with us. It’s not like we charged in there alone like Rambo. This attempt by the liberals to rewrite what happened is disgusting.

- He just quoted Jefferson again. Good Lord.

- Now he’s saying that he’s assuring the Iraqi people that we pursue no bases or claim on their territory or resources. Iraq’s sovereignty is its own. And he’s saying it and receiving applause for it like George W. Bush didn’t say the EXACT SAME THINGS!!! He acts like this is a change in policy from what we had before. Pardon my French, but what a pompous ass.

- OMG. Now he’s apologizing for our overreacting after 9/11. Saying that he’s prohibited the use of torture. Implying that we were torturing before. WE WERE NOT TORTURING!!! How DARE he!!

- Now he’s stood in front of the Muslim world and said Guantanamo will be closed by early next year. He still doesn’t know where he’s sending the prisoners, though… it’s going to be interesting to see how he squirms his way out of THIS one…

- He’s showing his Messiah complex again. He acts like only he can bring peace to the Middle East.

- I love how he’s calling on Hamas to stop violence. I bet they're laughing at his naivety while they’re kicking puppies.

- He just motioned to his teleprompter. Did you ever notice that Obama never talks while his teleprompter is taking a drink of water? Check it out…

- Now he seeks a world in which no nation has nuclear weapons. Ah, don’t you love the little Utopian world of the liberal Democrat?

- Now he says any nation, including Iran, should be allowed to pursue nuclear power. Except us, right Obama? We need windmills and solar power.

- He said he believes in a government that is transparent and doesn’t steal from the people. REALLY??

- He said that some people advocate democracy only when they are out of power. When they are in power they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. He sure sounds like he’s talking about himself, doesn’t he?

- He sure has a lot of big plans. How can he pay for it all when he SPENT ALL OUR MONEY????

- At the end of his speech he walked back out to the podium for an encore ovation. He just can’t get enough of the worship, can he?

Okay. Done watching that. Time for my Pepto-Bismal.

Trying to understand those that follow the left....

Here is something I’ve never understood… Conservatism is based on the beliefs of our forefathers, correct? We believe, as they did, in small government, individuality, freedom, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, correct? The forefathers founded this country with amazing insight into what makes a country run successfully. What came forth was a country that grew to be the world’s strongest and most powerful economy and the lone superpower on the planet.

So since Conservatism has been around since the foundation of our country and those ideas have made us the economic success that we are (were), isn’t it a little odd that an entire party’s platform has evolved to be the EXACT opposite of ours in every way, shape, and form? The Democratic Party has come to stand against EVERYTHING that made this country great. Why?

Conservatism has a proven track record of success. Liberalism has a proven track record of failure. It is a complete and undeniable fact.

Look at the country right now. California has been driven into the ground by liberals. Michigan is sinking quickly. New York is a mess. All three of those states have been driven to the brink of bankruptcy by liberals and yet their blind followers keep re-electing the same idiots over and over. When you follow a party blindly because they promise you things and then fail to look at the actual results, you are sheep.

Sadly, the majority of people out there aren’t informed enough to see what’s really happening. All they know is what the liberal whackos that run the mainstream media tell them to think. They don’t see the government taking over GM and Chrysler. They don’t see Obama throwing money at GE (very liberal company and owners of MSNBC, one of the many liberal propaganda machines) under the guise of “modernizing our medical IT infrastructure”. They don’t see the Democrats in congress pushing all of their pet projects through while calling it “stimulus”. They don’t notice that after all of the money we’ve pumped into this economy to get it started, it’s showing no signs whatsoever of recovering.

It’s going to take something very drastic to wake the American people out of their current slumber. I have no doubt, however, that something drastic WILL happen. Obama is being too reckless and irresponsible with our economy. He is meddling in the free market when he has no right and it WILL blow up in his face.

I firmly believe that 2010 is going to be a historical year. I believe we WILL win back the House AND the Senate. I think the spirit of the American People is too strong for a Socialist like Obama to extinguish. The disaster that was Jimmy Carter brought about the genius that was Ronald Reagan. I believe we are on a similar course now. The disaster of Obama will bring a new great Conservative leader to us. Of this I have NO doubt.
