The lolly-pop and rainbow world of the liberal

I felt one of the comments I recently received deserved a detailed response, so here it is. This is in response to Octobia's comment to my post "Random Thoughts While Listening to President Obama's Speech in Egypt".

No, Octobia, nuclear weapons are not on our "wish-list", as you put it. The thing about us Conservatives is that we live in the real world. There are nuclear weapons in the real world. To think that nuclear weapons are going to just disappear is naive and childish. My point is now that the toothpaste is out of the tube, there is no way you are going to get it all back in there again.

For Obama to say things like he is seeking a world without nuclear weapons is just more flowery language that means nothing.

And by the way, Clinton thought it was a great idea to allow North Korea to have nuclear technology for power. Now North Korea is threatening nuclear war. It's that kind of naive thinking that puts the world more and more in danger. Liberals need to wake up and realize that there are actually bad guys out there. We can't "negotiate" with all of them, no matter how much you wish for it.

The Founding Fathers said one of the main duties of a Federal Government is to protect the people. You don't do that by getting rid of all our nuclear weapons and allowing only the bad guys to have them. It's the same arguement that liberals use with gun control and it doesn't hold any water and just points out how amazingly naive their outlook on the world really is.

Steven Crowder on PETA

I just have to get the word out about this guy. If you're like me and sick and tired of all of the loser liberal comedians ripping our side to shreds (David Letterman, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Rosie O'Donnell, Bill Maher, Al Franken... you know the ones...), get a load of Steven Crowder. He has a channel on YouTube that you can subscribe to, but I will be posting some of my favorite videos of his here to share with all of you. He uses common sense and wicked humor to shoot down liberal insanity at every opportunity. Let me know what you think of him. Even you lefties. Hehehehe.

MSNBC Anchor gets put in her place

I love this video.

The left-wingers at MSNBC can dish it out, but they sure can't take it. Look how her "feelings get hurt".

Rupert Murdoch on Obama's Big Government

Unemployment up to 10-11%. Could take 3 years for it to go back down. Maybe that helps the Republicans come 2012.

Random Thoughts while watching President Obama’s speech in Egypt

- It’s interesting that he’s admitting his Muslim heritage. He said he came from a family that included a long line of Muslims. In the campaign it was blasphemous to say his full name “Barak Hussein Obama” because it was a supposed attempt to call him a Muslim. So when he’s at home, he’s in no way a Muslim, but when he’s speaking to millions of Muslims he’s just one of them. Actually this is not surprising to me at all, but typical Obama behavior.

- He sure does like to mention the Founding Fathers, doesn’t he? Too bad he stands for everything they fought against.

- Wow he just admitted his middle name was Hussein. He got applause. You gotta admit, the man knows how to play his audience.

- I could have sworn he just said that any world order cannot be dominated by one country or one race. World order? He doesn’t hide his true colors at all, does he?

- He said “We reject the same thing all faiths object. The killing of innocent men, women, and children.” I can only assume he mistakenly said children. We know he doesn’t reject the killing of innocent babies.

- Obama just quoted the Quran… something like “Whoever kills an innocent is as if he has killed all mankind.” The irony of this coming out of the mouth of such a strong abortion supporter is sickening.

- Well now we’re at the point where Obama starts throwing money around like he has it. The man has no shame.

- Okay my head is about to explode. He just said that Iraq was a war of “choice” and that although he believes the Iraqi people are better off without Saddam Hussein he thinks the Iraq war taught us of the need to build diplomacy and international consensus. If I recall correctly, we tried the hell out of diplomacy. Saddam Hussein thwarted all inspection attempts and violated U.N. resolution after U.N. resolution. We had many countries go into Iraq with us. It’s not like we charged in there alone like Rambo. This attempt by the liberals to rewrite what happened is disgusting.

- He just quoted Jefferson again. Good Lord.

- Now he’s saying that he’s assuring the Iraqi people that we pursue no bases or claim on their territory or resources. Iraq’s sovereignty is its own. And he’s saying it and receiving applause for it like George W. Bush didn’t say the EXACT SAME THINGS!!! He acts like this is a change in policy from what we had before. Pardon my French, but what a pompous ass.

- OMG. Now he’s apologizing for our overreacting after 9/11. Saying that he’s prohibited the use of torture. Implying that we were torturing before. WE WERE NOT TORTURING!!! How DARE he!!

- Now he’s stood in front of the Muslim world and said Guantanamo will be closed by early next year. He still doesn’t know where he’s sending the prisoners, though… it’s going to be interesting to see how he squirms his way out of THIS one…

- He’s showing his Messiah complex again. He acts like only he can bring peace to the Middle East.

- I love how he’s calling on Hamas to stop violence. I bet they're laughing at his naivety while they’re kicking puppies.

- He just motioned to his teleprompter. Did you ever notice that Obama never talks while his teleprompter is taking a drink of water? Check it out…

- Now he seeks a world in which no nation has nuclear weapons. Ah, don’t you love the little Utopian world of the liberal Democrat?

- Now he says any nation, including Iran, should be allowed to pursue nuclear power. Except us, right Obama? We need windmills and solar power.

- He said he believes in a government that is transparent and doesn’t steal from the people. REALLY??

- He said that some people advocate democracy only when they are out of power. When they are in power they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. He sure sounds like he’s talking about himself, doesn’t he?

- He sure has a lot of big plans. How can he pay for it all when he SPENT ALL OUR MONEY????

- At the end of his speech he walked back out to the podium for an encore ovation. He just can’t get enough of the worship, can he?

Okay. Done watching that. Time for my Pepto-Bismal.

Trying to understand those that follow the left....

Here is something I’ve never understood… Conservatism is based on the beliefs of our forefathers, correct? We believe, as they did, in small government, individuality, freedom, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, correct? The forefathers founded this country with amazing insight into what makes a country run successfully. What came forth was a country that grew to be the world’s strongest and most powerful economy and the lone superpower on the planet.

So since Conservatism has been around since the foundation of our country and those ideas have made us the economic success that we are (were), isn’t it a little odd that an entire party’s platform has evolved to be the EXACT opposite of ours in every way, shape, and form? The Democratic Party has come to stand against EVERYTHING that made this country great. Why?

Conservatism has a proven track record of success. Liberalism has a proven track record of failure. It is a complete and undeniable fact.

Look at the country right now. California has been driven into the ground by liberals. Michigan is sinking quickly. New York is a mess. All three of those states have been driven to the brink of bankruptcy by liberals and yet their blind followers keep re-electing the same idiots over and over. When you follow a party blindly because they promise you things and then fail to look at the actual results, you are sheep.

Sadly, the majority of people out there aren’t informed enough to see what’s really happening. All they know is what the liberal whackos that run the mainstream media tell them to think. They don’t see the government taking over GM and Chrysler. They don’t see Obama throwing money at GE (very liberal company and owners of MSNBC, one of the many liberal propaganda machines) under the guise of “modernizing our medical IT infrastructure”. They don’t see the Democrats in congress pushing all of their pet projects through while calling it “stimulus”. They don’t notice that after all of the money we’ve pumped into this economy to get it started, it’s showing no signs whatsoever of recovering.

It’s going to take something very drastic to wake the American people out of their current slumber. I have no doubt, however, that something drastic WILL happen. Obama is being too reckless and irresponsible with our economy. He is meddling in the free market when he has no right and it WILL blow up in his face.

I firmly believe that 2010 is going to be a historical year. I believe we WILL win back the House AND the Senate. I think the spirit of the American People is too strong for a Socialist like Obama to extinguish. The disaster that was Jimmy Carter brought about the genius that was Ronald Reagan. I believe we are on a similar course now. The disaster of Obama will bring a new great Conservative leader to us. Of this I have NO doubt.
